Skin-Deep

Hailing from Doncaster, United Kingdom, Skin-Deep initially started life as an Oi! band and made their vinyl début on the compilation 'Oi! The Resurrection' (1987). By the time of their one and only LP, More Than Skin-Deep (1988) vocalist Wayne Kenyon, guitarist Mik Whitnall, bassist Dean Jordan and drummer Andy State had developed a more 'soulful Housemartins with a slice of ska' feel. Whitnall later found fame in Babyshambles. Kenyon formed The Ferrymen.
