Ax and the Hatchetmen

Chicago's Ax and the Hatchetmen have gone from a tight-knit group of music school friends to one of the most exciting bands in modern rock. The six- piece came together while studying jazz at university. But while the band's foundation might be formal their music is anything but. Described as a collison of rock, soul, funk and pop that channels a timeless energy but that is distinctly their own. That chemistry, combined with a live show that leaves a mark, has taken Ax and the Hatchetmen from hometown rooms to sold-out headline tours and stages on Lollapalooza. Along the way, they released their debut album, "So Much To Tell You" in 2025, which features breakout hits "Hotelroom" and "Blurry Lights".
