Gathering Sounds closes the Currents programme with a shift in register: from performance to practice, from audience to community. This is a day where the room turns inward, practitioners sharing what they're working on, and why. Across an afternoon at Loods6, spatial sound practitioners take turns bringing something from their practice into the room: a tool, a patch, a speaker build, a piece in progress, a field recording, a research question, a score. Nothing here needs to be finished. This is a space for work that's still finding its shape, presented as an invitation to think and listen together. Gathering Sounds is part of a series of community events running throughout the Futures of Listening project, built to create space for exchange and connection outside of formal presentation contexts.
