Kurumbu presents Naya Beat

UPDATE: We've got some exciting news. We're moving the party to Murmur. We're excited to be hosting the night with our friends at Murmur, home to one of the best sound systems in Amsterdam. It feels like the perfect place for this one. We'll be kicking things off with Edgar Ramiro, an Amsterdam-based DJ and passionate record collector. His eclectic selections weave together disco, soul, global grooves, leftfield sounds and deep dancefloor cuts. Joining him are Naya Beat. Founded in Los Angeles, Naya Beat is a record label, creative collective and cultural platform dedicated to uncovering and celebrating South Asian music across generations. From rediscovered gems of the '70s and '80s to contemporary club sounds, they've become known for connecting the rich history of South Asian music with today's global dancefloor. Expect South Asian dance music, rare disco and synth gems, psychedelic sounds and leftfield electronic rhythms, bringing together vintage discoveries, diaspora sounds and forward-thinking club music. They'll also have a selection of their vinyl releases available to buy on the night. Come by early and grab a bite.
