WP Frequencies presents: Phonotropic

Note that it is a BYOB event and drinks will not be available for sale at the bar! *** Join us as we expand our creative vision at Waterhouse Studios Amsterdam: a biophilia-oriented exhibition, inaugurated on September 25th with a night of music selected by our crew of dancefloor invigorators. The concept unfolds around tropisms: the ways living organisms orient, grow and move in response to their environment towards light, through touch, vibration, sound and other stimuli. Phototropic explores this through light and living matter. We imagine an immersive, sanctuary-like space: mattresses and pillows, subtle ambient soundscapes, and bio-art installations. Mycelium-inspired garments, illuminated SCOBY designs and projections of growing mushrooms come together in a soft environment where light, sound and organic matter continuously interact. As the exhibition shifts into the night, Phototropic becomes Phonotropic: from growth towards light to movement towards sound. The space transforms into a party, with sound and vibration becoming the stimuli around which bodies gather and move. So rather than exhibition + party as two separate things, they become two expressions of the same idea: | Phototropic → light → growth | Phonotropic → sound → movement The sounds of Phonotropic will include an energetic spectrum of house, breaks, electro and techno. *** Note that it is a BYOB event and drinks will not be available for sale at the bar!
