Defected Records has continued to evolve and influence the global house music scene since 2012, expanding its reach through strategic residencies, innovative events, and a commitment to quality releases. Residencies and Global Events In 2013, Defected Records launched DFTD, a sub-label aimed at showcasing emerging talent and a broader spectrum of electronic music. The inaugural release was Guti's "Hope EP," setting the tone for the sub-label's diverse offerings. In 2016, Defected launched the Defected Croatia festival in Tisno, which has since become a staple event featuring performances from renowned artists like Basement Jaxx, CamelPhat, and Peggy Gou. In 2024, celebrating its 25th anniversary, Defected moved its Ibiza residency to Ushuaïa, initiating a 22-event residency every Tuesday at the renowned beach hotel.
